Especially this crazy second semester, it is not as big a deal to ask a girl out for a date party or for the night. Probably because there are so many, and you are kinda supposed to have a date, so when a guy asks a girl he is backed by the fact that he is supposed to have a date and when a girl is asked she keeps in mind that everyone else has a date and he is supposed to have one.
I don't like it. I want it to be like home again, where it meant something if you asked a girl out on a date. I really enjoyed that. True, it is more rare, but that is what makes it magical.
At home, a date was something to look forward to. Something, possibly, to be nervous about. Here it is just a battle to see who gets the cutest girl, and who gets to em first.
